Focused Training to Elevate Your Game

STRENGTH
Building muscle is the foundation to a strong athlete. Building strength not only builds explosiveness, but also helps with injury prevention, balance, etc.

CARDIO
Hockey players demand top conditioning for their bodies. These workouts are designed to build your cardiovascular system so that you can tackle a physically demanding workout, recover quickly, and prepare for the next shift.

SPEED AND AGILITY
These drills are equal parts mental and physical. From sprints to speed ladder drills, these are designed to improve a player’s quickness and fast-twitch muscles, and also increase coordination and body control.

Minnesota Wild Workouts

  • Hockey Strength

    In this workout we focus on developing a base level of strength using body weight and resistance band exercises.

  • Hockey Warm-Up 1

    This is the warm-up we use prior to any workout with our players, and you should too.

  • Steady rise 1

    Burn fat and improve fitness levels with Minnesota Wild Hockey Club Strength and Conditioning Coach, Kirk Olson.

  • Steady Rise 2

    This workout simulates a game by taking you through 16 30-second high-intensity intervals, each followed by 30 seconds of rest.

  • HIIT Shuttle

    This HIIT workout is designed to work your anaerobic energy system with 3 periods of shuttle runs at varying distances.
